Querying Process.
I can't believe I keep neglecting my poor livejournal! I'm sorry guys. I don't know where my mind has been lately.

Anyways, I began querying my YA Sci-Fi novel yesterday! It came to 102 thousand words.

So far I've received 1 rejection. I wish I knew what it was like to receive a request, but sadly, I have no clue what it's like.

I will try and get myself to post more frequently (if I remember).

Again, sorry!

There was a writers' board I used to belong to, where we had all sorts of "accomplishment" badges we could put in our signatures - one for a short story written, one for a short story sold, one for a novel written, and so on. The badges also included ones that indicated a certain number of rejections you'd gotten - 5, 10, 25, 50, etc. - because the fact that you were willing to put your work out there was considered an accomplishment, too.

So keep up the good work! Rejections are just a part of the process. You can't get an acceptance unless you're willing to collect rejections.

Thanks for the encouragement, and sorry about the late reply.
